Pistachio “La Lune” Croissant is now an “APEI Approved Product.”

This year, once again we attended the APEI technical seminar, organized by the Association of Ambassadors of Italian Pastry Excellence in Brescia. The event, as always, represents an important opportunity for discussion on the new challenges of pastry-making and a chance to announce exciting new projects.

During the seminar, we impressed the committee of master pastry chefs by presenting our Pistachio Croissant “La Lune”made with 19.5 % of butter and natural yeast, finished with green sprinkles and filled with delicious pistachio cream. We are very proud that this recipe received the prestigious “APEI Approved Product” label.

The best professionals and experts in the Italian pastry and dessert world evaluated and appreciated the technical and organoleptic characteristics of our product, granting its high quality and excellence.

With the La Lune line we reinterpreted the straight croissant with Italian pastry craftsmanship, combining the fragrant butter layers with a delicate flavor and winning over the taste of industry experts.
This important recognition is a confirmation of our commitment to increase the artisanal production philosophy, successfully adapted to an industrial scale.

La Lune Pistachio Croissant receives the Crystal Award

We are pleased to announce that for the third year in a row our La Lune Pistachio Croissant has been awarded by the renowned jury of the International Taste Institute, receiving the prestigious Crystal Award: a lifetime accolade.

Over 200 international taste experts, including chefs from the Michelin and Gault Millau Guides, praised our product for its fragrant flaky dough, made with 19.5% butter and natural yeast, and for its delicious pistachio filling.

These achievements are the result of our colleagues’ talent and dedication from the RD and the Production departments, whose hard work has once again contributed to earn a three stars, with an outstanding score of 91.1, securing us the coveted award.

We are happy that a global jury has recognized the excellence of our product: we select the finest raw ingredients, we create unique recipes with an unmatched flavor, ensuring the perfect balance between artisanal tradition and industrial dimension.

Awards like this inspire and motivate us to continue this path with passion and confirm our commitment into the confectionery art.

Acquaviva products have conquered, once again, the palates of the best chefs and sommeliers in the world! More than 200 taste experts, recognized by such prestigious institutions as Le Guide Michelin and Gault & Millau, composed the jury of the Superior Taste Award: a symbol of quality and excellence in the Food&Beverage industry.

A new development path: Vandemoortele acquires the historic Dolciaria Acquaviva SpA Group, specialist in Italian frozen bakery products.

We are proud to share that our La Lune 24% butter straight croissant has received the special recognition as an “APEI approved product” from the association of Pastry Chef Ambassadors of Italian Excellence. The prestigious commission tasted and evaluated our product, which respects the required quality standards and presents parameters of excellence in the organoleptic and technical characteristics of the recipe.

Through La Lune line-up we have reassessed the classic croissant from the other side of the Alps with the Italian confectionery art perspective. We combined the fragrant golden flaking of butter with a delicate taste that has convinced even the best professionals and the most knowledgeable pastry chef of the dessert world.

Dolciaria Acquaviva conquers the

International Taste Institute jury once again! Over 200 professionals – chefs e sommeliers recognized by institutions such as The MICHELIN Guide and Gault&Millau –have been selected to be the jury of the Superior Taste Award:an undeniable symbol of quality and excellence.


Through a rigorous method of tasting, the jury evaluated numerous products, conferring only to the best the renewed award. Our Vegan whole wheat Croissant with Citrus and Ginger achieved 2 stars, scoring 84.6. The jury appreciated the fluffiness and the interesting combination of flavors of this delicious cornetto. Our La Lune straight croissant with pistachio is confirmed, for the second year in a row, among the most loved products: it won 3 stars scoring 92.1.

We are glad to share this new milestone with all of you: a result that reward us for the great effort we put into selecting the raw materials, studying the recipes and handing down the principles of tradition, adapting them to our industrial dimension. This goal is a source of inspiration for our work and future projects, always with the aim of enhancing Made in Italy excellence.

CDP bets on the Acquaviva Group development projects

We are proud that Cassa Depositi e Prestiti has signed two funding agreements to support the development of Dolciaria Acquaviva.
The Group’s new projects will aim at implementing technological improvement and competitive positioning.

International Taste Institute – Italy Meeting 2023

We gladly attended the International Taste Institute – Italy Meeting 2023, where we shared our reality on stage, as a model of entrepreneurship and quality for bakery products. It was an enriching opportunity to meet up and discuss with many companies in the food sector, characterized by the love for Made in Italy on the international stage.

Thanks to this moment of thoughtful understanding of the demanding International Taste Institute methodologies and its international jury – composed of over 200 chefs and sommeliers recognized by institutions such as Le Guide Michelin and Gault&Millau – we have appreciated even more the value of the Superior Taste awards obtained by this prestigious Institution over these years.

which rewards the most competitive and reliable companies across Italy, standing out for managerial performance, financial reliability and economic development.

For us, being awarded represents a truly important milestone, symbol of commitment, determination and transparency which are the ingredients of our daily work to contribute to healthy, productive and virtuous Italian entrepreneurship.

Dolciaria Acquaviva for Ukraine

The humanitarian crisis ignited by the conflict between Russia and Ukraine cannot leave us unsympathetic and everyone can lend a hand.

Dolciaria Acquaviva, always close to the People, has made its small contribution to help the Ukrainian population fleeing the war, gathering a fund for basic needs. We sincerely thank all the colleagues who, with great unselfishness and humanity, donated their working hours to help those in need.

The funds raised were donated to @CroceRossaItaliana, which is carrying out a precious aid to the affected populations who lack the most essential goods, such as water, food, clothing and health care. We thank the tireless work of the Croce Rossa Italiana. To date, 23 international operations have been carried out: a continuous humanitarian bridge that can be achieved with the contribution of each one of us.
